Rural fire fighters in the South Burnett have joined in “Operation Yellow”,
The Rural Fire Brigade Association of Queensland campaign is asking communities to tie a yellow ribbon “where it can be easily seen” to support rural firies opposed to staff cuts in the recent State Budget.
Representatives from local brigades will also be meeting with Member for Nanango Deb Frecklington this week in Kingaroy to discuss the proposed cuts.
