Police have asked if anyone saw anything suspicious in Yarraman during the early hours of Monday morning to contact Crime Stoppers.

About 5:30am, a break and enter occurred at the IGA Supermarket at 10 Margaret Street. The thieves gained entry by smashing a glass panel in the front door.

It appears they tried to gain cash from several cash registers, and rifled through drawers before they smashed a register and took a small amount of money.

About 15 minutes later, a business at 31 Toomey Street, “Henry’s At Yarraman”, was broken into using a similar method.

This time the thieves forced something sharp through the rubber seal around a door before breaking in and stealing some cash.

Police have no suspects at the moment but investigations are continuing.

Henry’s At Yarraman was closed yesterday but is trading normally today.

Anyone with information which could assist police with their investigations should contact Crime Stoppers anonymously on 1800-333-000 or via the Crime Stoppers website 24 hours a day.
