The AGL Action Rescue Helicopter flew to the aid of a family-of-four yesterday morning after the vehicle they were travelling in rolled on the Brooweena-Woolooga Road.
The Mitsubishi Triton dualcab was at the crest of a hill when the crash occurred. It is believed the driver swerved to avoid another vehicle and lost control on the gravel road causing the vehicle to roll.
Two children and the female front seat passenger all escaped with minor injuries but the driver, a 34-year-old man from Tivoli, suffered head and possible spinal injuries.
The AGL Action Rescue Helicopter was able to land in a clearing only 500m from the accident scene.
The helicopter’s flight paramedic stabilised the man before he was airlifted to Bundaberg Base Hospital in a stable condition.
