A boy has died after a quad bike crash at Boodua yesterday morning.
A police spokesman said the crash occurred on private property just after 9:00am and the boy died at the scene.
The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating.
The spokesman said police would like to remind members of the public of the dangers of motorbikes and quad bikes on private property.
Regional Traffic Coordinator Inspector Bruce Dimond said helmets and all safety equipment should be worn at all times on any motorised vehicles.
“Riders need to be aware of the risks involved and take every precaution possible to prevent accidents from happening,” he said.
