St Mary’s Catholic College Year 11 students Claire Anderson and Eline Beijsens have been accepted into the Young Scholars Program at the University of Queensland.
The program is designed to nurture and develop exceptional students while they complete their secondary studies and provides a unique opportunity for extension and enrichment.
The pair will be joining more than 200 talented and like-minded students from across Queensland and NSW who have been selected to participate.
They will have the opportunity to discover, learn and engage with the university’s academic community and a team of UQ student mentors.
The program comprises two key components: a five-day residential camp at the St Lucia campus in Brisbane in November followed by a two-day camp in June next year.
