Rangers proved too strong for minor premiers Goondiwindi in the Grand Final of the Downs Rugby Union B Grade competition played at Cliver Berghofer Stadium in Toowoomba on Saturday.
Toowoomba Rangers 33 defeated Goondiwindi Emus 10.
In what must be a morale booster for the local South Burnett side, the Thrashers were by no means disgraced when they came up against the eventual premiers in Round 17 of the competition last month.
