A Softball Festival that had been scheduled to take place this Sunday at Nanango has been postponed to November 17.

Brett Reeve, from the Burnett Softball Association, said unfortunately not enough team registrations had been received before the cut-off date.

The mixed Ozpitch Tournament and Junior Come and Try Clinic had been pencilled in as a fundraiser for Relay For Life.

However, two other softball events scheduled for this month are still going ahead.

A free “Softball Have A Go Day”, open to all ages and abilities, will be held at the Nanango Sporting Fields in Burnett Street on Saturday, September 15, from 9:00am to 1:00pm.

There’ll also be a sausage sizzle, face-painting and a jumping castle.

On Saturday, September 29, “Burnett Simple Softball”, a fun-based skill development program, will run at the Nanango Sporting Fields from 9:30am to 2:30pm.

All primary school-aged children are welcome.

Cost is $60 which includes all softball activities and a pack which contains a ball and a softball glove.  The first 25 people to register are free.

Registrations must be received before September 25 however payments can be made on the day.
