All participants must wear white … and the eventual destination is kept secret

August 14, 2012

Clovely Estate wines from Moffatdale will be featured at one of the most upmarket events seen in Brisbane for a long time.

Clovely has been selected as a wine partner for the Le Dîner en Blanc  “pop-up” picnic which will be held “somewhere in Brisbane” on September 1.

The concept of these elegant open-air picnics began in Paris 24 years ago.

Participants must conduct themselves with “decorum, elegance and etiquette”.

Ticketholders turn up at a pre-arranged point dressed top-to-toe in white with their picnic basket, tables and chairs. They are then whisked away by bus to a secret venue.

Le Dîner en Blanc events have been held in major cities all over the world, but this is the first time Brisbane has hosted such an event.

But if you’re thinking of going… it’s too late. All tickets have already been sold.

Congratulations also to Clovely for winning a Gold medal for its soon-to-be released 2009 Left Field Semillon at the Royal Queensland RNA Wine Show.
