The next phase of the merger of “Toowoomba Golden West & South Burnett Tourism” with “Southern Downs & Granite Belt Regional Tourism” is about to occur with the calling of a Special General Meeting to wind up the old company.

As reported on June 7, a new company “Southern Queensland Country Tourism” will be formed.

The two merging Regional Tourism Organisations now have to get approval from their members to wind up their companies.

A meeting of members of the Toowoomba & Golden West Regional Tourist Association Limited will be held at 2:30pm on July 26 at the Empire Theatre Supper Room in Toowoomba.

Members will be asked to approve that all assets and resources be transferred to “Southern Queensland Country Tourism Limited” and that the old company commence the process to wind up.
