The Kingaroy Town Hall was packed this evening for the local State High School’s annual “Flair” concert.
In fact, so many people turned up, extra seats had to be located so the audience could all watch the annual fund-raiser in comfort.
The large crowd was entertained by enthusiastic performances by students from Years 8-12.
The evening opened with some stirring drumming by the school’s percussion ensemble.
Funds raised from the entry fee, and from the raffles and cent auction, will be used to assist Kingaroy State High School’s chaplaincy program.
Amongst the audience were students from the school’s “sister” school, Fudooka High, in Saitama, Japan.
The Japanese students, who only flew into the country today, will be off to the Gold Coast tomorrow to experience more of Australia before returning to Kingaroy. They’ll fly home to Japan in about a week.
