Blackbutt’s council office is currently hosting a display of contemporary art prints housed in CD jewel cases presented by Umbrella Studio Contemporary Arts from Townsville.
The “Compact Prints” will be on show until August 23, touring as part of Artslink Queensland’s Exhibitions program.
Compact Prints is a biennial exhibition which transforms every two years to profile new artists and their evolving print styles.
Artslink Queensland Exhibitions Director Lisa Beilby, said she was delighted to tour this latest version of the exhibition.
Compact Prints showcases a range of familiar and hybrid printmaking methods including lino, relief, lithograph, mezzotint, aquatint, photopolymer and digital. The subject matter varies from the delicate to the outrageous.
