Local graziers, farmers and industry representatives will be given the opportunity to meet with State Agriculture Minister John McVeigh when he visits the South Burnett on Thursday.

Member for Nanango Deb Frecklington said the Minister would spend the day touring the region and meeting with key representatives to learn more about the agricultural industry in the Nanango Electorate.

“This is a great opportunity for the Minister for Agriculture to get to know our region and understand more about what our farmers face each day,” Mrs Frecklington said.

“We’ll be touring the Swickers Bacon Factory and visiting the Joh Bjelke-Petersen Research Station.

“A group of key stakeholders have also been invited to join Minister McVeigh for a lunch meeting where they will be highlighting issues and ideas.”
