Two motocross riders, injured in separate accidents, were airlifted from the Manar Park motocross track near Proston this morning.

The AGL Action Rescue Helicopter was initially called to assist a 22-year-old man suffering serious abdominal and knee injuries after he fell from his motorbike.

As the helicopter’s flight doctor and flight paramedic were treating the Bundaberg man, another rider lost control and crashed his bike.

The 16-year-old boy, from Chinchilla, suffered abrasions and was taken to hospital as a precaution.

Both patients were stable and airlifted to Nambour General Hospital.
