A not-for-profit group which works with indigenous communities on shared projects is looking for local volunteers to work at Cherbourg.
Indigenous Community Volunteers (ICV) is a registered charity which provides access to skilled volunteers in areas where employment, economic development and education opportunities are often limited.
A volunteer workshop will be held at The Ration Shed at Cherbourg on October 11-12.
ICV says this is a great opportunity to enrol as a volunteer, meet like-minded people and explore Aboriginal culture in your own backyard!
For more information or to register your attendance at the workshop, contact Sharnee Hegarty on (07) 3121-9250, 0448-062-234 or by email
ICV volunteers are matched to community development projects close to home. This is designed to build successful long-term relationships which result in positive, lasting change for the communities they work with.
