South Burnett and UQ Highfields were evenly matched in their clash in Kingaroy on Saturday
The Thrashers put on some exciting attacking moves

July 9, 2012

After being defeated after the siren last week, the South Burnett Thrashers put on another sterling effort this week, going down to third-ranked UQ / Highfields by just three points.

After spending most of the season on the road, the Thrashers obviously enjoyed playing a rare home game at TJ O’Neill Oval in Kingaroy.

The Thrashers and Highfields went try for try in the opening phases of the match and were just three points behind, 17-14 at half-time.

The even contest continued in the second half with both sides again taking turns to cross the line.

The final score was 29-26.

South Burnett tries went to Steve Harrington, Scott Simms, Brett Turner and Brandon Walsh.
