The staff at the Blackbutt branch of the Bendigo Bank are feeling chuffed that they won the Local Business Award at the recent “Valuing Community” awards.

Chairman of the Board of South Burnett Enterprises – which operates the Yarraman & District Community Bank – accepted the award from Member for Nanango Deb Frecklington at the recent Friends of Cultcha Queensland Day celebrations held in Blackbutt.

Mr Smith congratulated the Blackbutt branch team on their success.

“Thanks to the fantastic local support, the Yarraman & District Community Bank and Blackbutt branch are successfully making profits,” he said.

“At each monthly Board meeting we reflect on the simple philosophy that ‘by banking locally, profts go straight back into the local community’.”
