The Errol Munt Sport Reserve at Yarraman will be getting a much-anticipated upgrade in the coming weeks.
Toowoomba Regional Council Environment and Community Chair Cr Geoff McDonald said a works crew would soon be replacing the toilet block at the reserve which is located off Margaret Street.
“The project follows an extensive consultation process, which saw submissions from a number of local residents and community organisations over the past eight months,” Cr McDonald said.
Identified as a “high-priority need” for the local community, the installation of a new toilet block would include a colonial-style structure with multiple cubicles that can cater for all abilities.
“The commencement date for the project is currently being finalised and, once construction commences, the project is likely to take between four to eight weeks to complete,” Cr McDonald said.
