The Tractor Tattoo organising committee is on the hunt for old tractor tyres …

The tyres must be able to fit the tractor which is being transformed into a musical instrument for the arts festival which will take over Kingaroy on September 15.

This is could be a great way of getting rid of old tractor tyres which are just lying around taking up space.

The committee is looking for tyres that will fit a 16-inch diameter wheel.

“This is the final piece of the puzzle – or tractor, I should say – and before we know it the tractor will be here in the South Burnett,” Cr Cheryl Dalton said.

The Tractor Tattoo has been made possible by the Federal Government’s Regional Arts Fund, which gives artists and communities throughout regional, rural, and remote Australia better access to opportunities to practice and experience the arts.
