The Ration Shed at Cherbourg is inviting local artists to submit entries on the theme “We Are Many, But We Are One” for a NAIDOC Art Competition.
Both Indigenous and non-Indigenous artists can enter but must have some connection to Cherbourg or live in the South Burnett.
Prizes will be awarded in several categories:
- Junior (4-12 years)
- Youth (13–18 years)
- Senior category
- General category
The artwork must be original and about the theme. Artists can use any style and any medium but the work should be no larger than one metre.
Entries will be judged by a panel composed of Elders and artists selected by the Ration Shed Committee and must be submitted by 4:00pm on June 22.
The winners will be announced on July 3 at the Ration Shed Museum.
