AGL Action Rescue’s Bundaberg and Maroochydore helicopters were called out to the South Burnett again this afternoon … this time to attend a two-vehicle crash on the Burnett Highway, south-east of Goomeri.

Three people were travelling in the two vehicles when the crash occurred. All three were trapped and firefighters had to work quickly to free them.

The incident occurred about 1:45pm.

The Maryborough-based AGL helicopter transported the driver of one of the cars, a 70-year-old man, to Royal Brisbane Hospital with head and arm  injuries. He was in a serious but stable condition.

The Bundaberg-based helicopter took his passenger, a 68-year-old Caloundra woman, to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital with suspected neck injuries. She is in a stable condition.
