An RAAF Hornet will salute this year’s Wondai Anzac Day parade

April 22, 2012

Participants in the annual Wondai Anzac Day march will get an added thrill this year when an RAAF Hornet does a low pass across the parade.

The flyover was requested by Elaine Madill, from the Wondai Art Gallery, to co-incide with the “Framing Conflict” exhibition at the Gallery (see story, April 3, 2012).

The march will start at 10:00am on Wednesday at the Wondai War Memorial and process along Mackenzie Street to the Post Office.

Elaine said she’d been told the Hornet would pass so low that watchers would be able to see the pilot waving.
