The link between the South Burnett and the Titanic may be a tad tenuous – were there any local survivors? – but that didn’t stop more than 80 people gathering at the Booie Bello Vista restaurant at the weekend to celebrate (and commemorate) the 100th anniversary of the sinking of the grand liner.
Attendees were invited to dress in the style of the era and the staff at the Booie Bello Vista joined in the fun with Lisa Vandenberg crafting their costumes.
The restaurant was decorated with mannequins in period outfits, supplied by clothing collector Linda Silburn, and the music was provided by Leslie Martin and Crystal Ganter.
