The South Burnett Thrashers, which are playing in the B Grade Senior Downs Rugby competition, travelled to Goondiwindi at the weekend but unfortunately the long journey – and the week away from competition over Easter – did not augur well for the 17-man squad.
South Burnett went down 75-7 to the Emus.
Goondiwindi’s confidence was high as they were coming off an away win to Highfields and were playing before a home crowd.
The Thrashers will now face Condamine at home in Round 3 next Saturday.

Kick-off will be 1:30pm at T.J. O’Neill Oval, Kingaroy.
