A 36-year-old Wondai woman was released from hospital this morning after apparently being bitten by a snake yesterday afternoon.
An ambulance spokesman said the woman was slipping in and out of consciousness when they were called about 1:35pm. They feared she had been bitten on the hand and the leg by an unknown snake.
She was initially taken by ambulance to Murgon Hospital but was later transferred by helicopter to Toowoomba.
She was admitted to the hospital for observation and routine blood tests but was discharged this morning.
