Freedom Family Fun Day And Concert - Wooroolin
A Freedom Family Fun Day And Concert will be held at the Wooroolin Sportsgrounds off Sportsground Road, Wooroolin from 10:00am today through until late tonight. The purpose is to peacefully protest the Queensland State Government's VLAD laws (targeting people deemed "outlaw bikers"). The day will feature performances by numerous bands including Noise Burner, the Cameron Complex, Skinner, Muddy Flats, Chris Webbe, Paul Robert Burton and Australia's ZZ Top Tribute Band. There'll also be a jumping castle, fairy floss, snow cones, face painting, sumo suit wrestling and lots of other fun activities for children, as well as raffles, food, non-alcoholic drinks and market stalls for adults. Free camping will also be available on site but no dogs are allowed, and no bad behaviour will be tolerated. Pre-booked tickets can be obtained online for $20, but they'll be $30 at the gate today. 2014 Murgon Music Muster
The third (and main) day of the four-day Murgon Music Muster will get underway at the PCYC complex at the Murgon Showgrounds in Macalister Street, Murgon at 8:00am this morning with a Poet's Breakfast that will last until 9:30am. This will be followed from 10:00am until late by an Invited Artists concert with this year's featured act taking the stage at 8:00pm. The Muster is being organised by the Murgon Rotary Club and it features a wide range of country and bush balladeering talents. Lunch and dinner will be available in the grounds too. Admission today is $25 and overnight camping is available in the grounds for between $5 and $7.50. You can obtain PDF flyers about the Murgon Music Muster, sessions, ticket prices and a list of all the artists who'll be performing on the Muster's website.
Nanango Men's Shed

Nanango Country Markets
The Nanango Show Society will be holding their regular monthly Country Markets at the Nanango Showgrounds in Cairns Street from 6:00am to around 12:00 noon today. As usual, the markets will feature a wide variety of craft stalls, new and used goods, plants, poultry and pets. The Nanango Markets are the largest rural market in south east Queensland and routinely attract 320 to 420 stallholders. But new stallholders are always very welcome too! More info? Smooth & Groove - Kingaroy

Saturday Cricket
The second round of the South Burnett's A-Grade cricket competition will be played at Nanango and Kingaroy today. In Nanango, the home team will play Murgon; and in Kingaroy, Services will play Warriors at Lyle Vidler Oval. Meanwhile, the B-Grade competition will kick off today with three matches: Warriors v Services, Kumbia v Murgon Diggers; and Barambah v Murgon Colts. Spectators and supporters are very welcome at all games.
South Burnett Woodcrafters - Kingaroy
The South Burnett Woodcrafters will be holding their regular Saturday morning meeting at their clubhouse, which is located behind the Kingaroy Visitor Information Centre in Haly Street from 8:00am to around mid-day today. Dance - Inverlaw Hall
A dance will be held at Inverlaw Hall on the Burrandowan Road (roughly 20km from Kingaroy) from 8:00pm until late this evening. Music will be supplied by Commodore and and there'll be the usual great supper and novelties, along with a big Lucky Door draw.
