South Burnett Singfest - Kingaroy
Here's something different! Regional arts group South Burnett Arts (in conjunction with RADF and the South Burnett Regional Council) are bringing conductor Graeme Morton and the magnificent Brisbane Chamber Choir to the South Burnett this weekend for a once-in-a-lifetime series of workshops and concerts that should appeal to anyone involved in choirs and/or who enjoys listening to choral music. Today the Brisbane Chamber Choir will be holding a series of free Choral Workshops at St Johns Lutheran School in Ivy Street, Kingaroy. The workshops are designed for singers, conductors, teachers and secondary school choirs and apart from locals, many people will also be coming to Kingaroy from the North Burnett, the Sunshine Coast and Toowoomba to take part. Tomorrow, Singfest will conclude with a Showcase Concert at St Johns at 2:30pm in the afternoon, given by the Brisbane Chamber Choir and any workshop participants who want to take part. You can find out more details about Singfest and/or obtain a registration form by phoning Jane on (0411) 118-510 or by emailing her.
