Wondai Country Markets

The Wondai Regional Art Gallery's popular monthly Wondai Country Markets will be operating at Coronation Park in Wondai's CBD from 7:00am to 12:00 noon today, with stallholders selling everything from fresh fruit and vegetables through to arts and crafts, useful knick-knacks, foods and clothing. There'll also be live entertainment; lots and lots of other stalls selling great gifts and goodies; and special hand-made treasures from local artisans available from the Art Gallery's "Studio" building just a short stroll across the park. The BBQs will also be firing up from 6:45am to dish out hearty breakfasts for early bargain hunters. Australia Day At The Golden Spurs - Proston

Proston's Golden Spurs Hotel will be kicking off this year's Australia Day celebrations a few days early with a big celebration that will run from noon through until late tonight. The get-together will feature the hilarious Crack Up Sisters from Winton (who delighted crowds at the 2019 Proston Show) along with entertainer Ash Williamson and the mighty Mr Q Band. The entertainment will kick off with a comedy show at 2:15pm, followed by a whip-cracking workshop at 3:00pm, games at 4:00pm and a second comedy show at 5:30pm before the music gets underway from around 6:00pm. Yarraman Markets

The Yarraman Progress Association's Yarraman Markets will be held on the vacant block at the corner of the D'Aguilar and New England Highways (ie opposite Bendigo Bank) in Yarraman from 7:00am until around 12:00 noon today. The markets feature trash and treasure stalls, car boot sellers, local produce and hand-made goods, as well as food stalls, and are held weekly.
