Murgon detectives charged two teenage boys on Tuesday after an investigation into property and vehicle offences in Murgon, Kingaroy and Nanango.

Police will allege that about 9:00pm on Monday, an unknown number of people entered a Gayndah Road premises in Murgon and stole a 2022 Mitsubishi Triton dual cab.

The group then travelled to Kingaroy where they allegedly attempted to break into a number of vehicles in Adermann Drive before stealing a 2016 Subaru VX from a Bunker Street property in Nanango.

The group than allegedly travelled back to Kingaroy where they attempted to break into several vehicles on Banksia Drive, Crown Court and Windsor Circle.

During the spree, the group also allegedly broke into the Fitzroy Hotel in Fitzroy Street, Nanango, stealing alcohol and food before leaving the scene.

A 17-year-old Acacia Ridge youth and a 16-year-old Murgon youth have each been charged with seven counts of enter premises and commit an indictable offence, two counts of unlawful use of a motor vehicle and two counts of enter dwelling and commit.

Both were due to appear in Murgon Children’s Court on Wednesday.

Investigations are continuing.
