A retirement party for well-known local police officer, Senior Sergeant Dave Tierney, was held last Saturday night at the Kingaroy Cricket Club.

Snr Sgt Tierney, who was appointed Officer-in-Charge of Kingaroy Police Station in February 2018, will be retiring from the Queensland Police Service in April.

He then served at Brisbane City Station, Maroochydore, Townsville, Stuart, Toowoomba and Dalby before being transferred to Kingaroy as Officer-in-Charge.
