Burnett Inland Economic Development Organisation (BIEDO) general manager Mistrel Badesso has resigned to take up a position with the South Burnett Regional Council.

The BIEDO Board announced the resignation on Friday.

“During her tenure, Mistrel has been a dedicated advocate for the Burnett Inland, working tirelessly to support our local businesses and agricultural sectors,” BIEDO chair Melinda Jones said.

“Her passion for the region has been evident in the projects she spearheaded and the relationships she cultivated across our diverse communities.

“The Board of Directors would like to formally thank Mistrel for her hard work and her unwavering belief in the potential of our region. We wish her nothing but the very best as she moves into her next chapter.

“The Board is pleased that her expertise will remain within the local ecosystem, and we look forward to working alongside her in this new capacity to drive shared prosperity for the Burnett Inland.”

Ms Jones said the leadership change provided “a timely moment for strategic reflection”.

“As we look toward the future, we are excited to use this period of transition to refine our leadership structure, ensuring BIEDO remains a robust and agile catalyst for regional growth.

“The Board is currently finalising interim management plans to ensure continuity of service for our members and partners. Details will be shared in the coming weeks.”
