Sheridan and Tony Mead, from Coolabunia, were enjoying dinner at the 2026 Reef’n’Beef

March 2, 2026

The 2026 Reef’n’Beef was another big night – and a sellout! – for the Coolabunia State School P&C.

Tables were set up with grazing platters in the Murray Johnston Building with live music in one corner and the licensed bar in the other.

Then there was the food … as usual, all-you-can eat rib fillet steaks, beef brisket, crabs, prawns, Moreton Bay bugs, calamari, oysters and baked reef fish, plus a choice of desserts!

The food were served buffet-style but students from Kingaroy State High School were also kept busy waiting on the tables.

There were also plenty of opportunities to win with lucky door prizes and a major raffle.

More fundraising opportunities for the P&C were provided by the cent auction and silent auction, with items donated by local businesses.

This is the fourth Reef’n’Beef which has been run by the Coolabunia State School P&C since the traditional South Burnett “big night out” shifted from Ironpot Hall.

And it seems to be getting more popular every year!
