South Burnett Regional Council has approved construction of a new Telstra mobile phone tower at Boyneside.
The 60m tower will be built by Amplitel Pty Ltd at 2504 Niagara Road, not far from the existing Coopers Gap Wind Farm.
The application for a Material Change of Use was approved on February 13, subject to normal conditions.

A decision on an application to expand an existing piggery at 592 Morgans Road, Windera, is expected to be considered at an upcoming meeting of council.
Councillors voted to lay the application “on the table” (ie. defer a decision) at the April 2022 meeting.

The South Burnett Regional Council is seeking further information about an application to vary conditions in regards to a long-discussed development which could consist of houses, shops and other uses on a large block of land between Kelvyn Street and Buchanan Street, Kingaroy.
The combined application includes sub-dividing one lot into 70 lots plus common land.
