The 55 Million Years Ago Art Gallery and Museum in Murgon launched its latest exhibition on Saturday with another of its popular “Elegant Afternoon Teas”.

More than 40 people attended the event, one of the largest crowds the afternoon teas has attracted.

Works by Kingaroy artist Thelma Archibald – who has not shown in the South Burnett for several years – were featured and won People’s Choice awards.

The next exhibition at the 55MYA gallery will be a display of entries in the gallery’s annual Anzac Art Competition.

Fittingly, the launch (and announcement of the winner) will be held during an afternoon tea on Anzac Day, Saturday, April 25.

Enjoying the opening day afternoon tea were Murgon friends Dianne Woodall, Minnie Campion and Marie Routledge
55MYA could not operate without its dedicated volunteers, including Leo Geraghty, Terry Blackburn and Doug Johnson
