Member for Nanango Deb Frecklington is inviting the local community to help identify priority locations for safety upgrades on the D’Aguilar Highway.
The State Government is investigating ways to improve safety on the highway between Nukku Road at Gilla and Tarong Power Station Road at Tarong (ie. either side of Yarraman).
“This planning work is about listening to locals so future projects deliver real results that reduce the risk of serious crashes and protect lives on this key inland route that links the Bruce Highway with the Bunya Highway,” Mrs Frecklington said.
Consultation is open until March 20.

To see the number of police cars on the highway on Tuesday with vehicles pulled up was a welcome change. The number of drivers overtaking across double lines has to be seen to be believed. Does it really make a difference to arrive one minute later rather than to put the lives of other drivers and maybe your own family at risk?
