A fire in a large storage shed at Widgee on Thursday afternoon forced Ergon Energy to cut power to local residents until damage to powerlines could be assessed.
Emergency services were called to the blaze in Tooth Drive about 4:45pm.
A Queensland Fire Department spokesperson said the building was engulfed in flames when fire crews arrived.
Three urban units and five rural fire brigade crews attended.
The fire was contained by about 6:00pm and extinguished just after 7:00pm.
However, firefighters were called back on Friday morning to continue dampening down the site after several hotspots reignited.
Fire investigators were planning to attend to try to determine the cause of the blaze.
