Local emergency services have been kept busy over the festive break.

  • A QAS spokesperson said a man aged in his 50s was transported by ambulance to Kingaroy Hospital with minor injuries after a single-vehicle rollover at Ellesmere on Christmas Eve.

Emergency services were called to Kumbia Road about 7:00pm.

  • On Christmas Day, paramedics were called to a single-vehicle collision on Simpsons Road at Wondai just before 12:30am.

The vehicle had left the road and hit a tree.

A man with minor injuries was taken to Kingaroy Hospital in a stable condition.

Two other people, a man aged in his 30s with minor injuries; and a woman in her 40s with minor chest and arm injuries, declined transport to hospital.

  • On Saturday (December 27), a man aged in his 20s was taken by ambulance to Kingaroy Hospital in a stable condition with minor leg injuries after his vehicle crashed off a bridge into water near Wondai.

Emergency services were called to the incident on the Bunya Highway about 8:15pm.

  • On Monday, (December 29), a primary school-aged boy was taken to Kingaroy Hospital in a stable condition with facial and abdominal injuries after a motorcycle crash on a private property near Hart Street, Blackbutt,  reported at 11:00am.
