Murgon Crusaders were too strong for Gympie Royals in their Gympie A Grade cricket match played at Murgon Sportsground on Saturday.
Crusaders won the toss and elected to bat.
At the end of their 40 overs, the home team were 5/435 after Dan Thompson and Joe Meikel both scored centuries.
Thompson made 175 off 116 balls, including 25 fours and 4 sixes.
Meikle wasn’t far behind, with 126 runs off 75 balls, including 11 fours and 9 sixes.
In reply, Royals ran out of batters in the 39th over, 9/163.
Jamian Currin (3/4 off three overs), Jake Sippel (2/11 off six) and Theodore Kelly (2/27 off five) cut through the Royals’ line-up.

At Lyle Vidler Oval in Kingaroy, Wooroolin Warriors (8/247) downed Gympie Colts (97 all out) in the second Gympie A Grade game played in the South Burnett last Saturday.
Colts won the toss and elected to bowl.
Warriors’ opener Alexander Peters led the way, scoring 123 runs off 130 balls, including 15 fours and 3 sixes.
Kieran Askin did the damage against Colts, taking 4/10 off 6.2 overs, including a caught and bowled.
Jackson Kerkow took 2/3 off five overs.
Gympie A Grade cricket will resume on January 10, with Crusaders and Warriors facing off in a local derby at Lyle Vidler Oval.

In the Dalby competition, Tingoora Vikings took on Quinalow at Quinalow Recreation Ground.
Quinalow batted first and were all out for 92 in the 23rd over.
Jason Reilly (four wickets), Torren Anderton (two) and Bede Stapelton (three) shared the bowling honours.
In reply, Vikings were all out for 35 in the 16th over.
