Police have charged three teenage boys and a teenage girl with property and vehicle-related offences as Operation Martello ramps up in the South Burnett.
Police, supported by specialist units, arrested the four teenagers at two addresses in Cherbourg on Tuesday.
Police will allege the four were involved in the theft of motor vehicles from Wondai, Cherbourg, Moffatdale and Murgon between October 25 and December 8.
- A 16-year-old Cherbourg boy has been charged with two counts of unlawful use of a motor vehicle
- A 15-year-old Cherbourg girl has been charged with five counts of unlawful use of a motor vehicle, two counts of driving unlicensed and one count of wilful damage
- A 14-year-old Cherbourg boy has been charged with six counts of unlawful use of a motor vehicle; three counts of enter premises; two counts each of enter dwelling with intent, armed robbery and attempted robbery; and one count each of enter dwelling and unlicensed driving
- A 14-year-old Cherbourg boy has been charged with two counts of unlawful use of a motor vehicle.
All four were due to appear in either Kingaroy or Murgon Children’s Courts this week.
