Two Kingaroy residents have been honoured in the prestigious 2025 Queensland Sport Awards.

The awards highlight the outstanding contributions of athletes, volunteers and sporting innovators across the State.

Member for Nanango Deb Frecklington congratulated local champions Christopher Sarquis and Stephanie Bofinger for their outstanding achievements.

Chris Sarquis, who is president of the Kingaroy Golf Club, was named Queensland Sport Volunteer of the Year.

“His passion and leadership have helped make the club a welcoming space for all, accolade well-deserved,” Mrs Frecklington said.

Kingaroy-based Fempro Armour was recognised as the Queensland Sport Innovation of the Year (Multisport Innovation).

The founder CEO of the company is Stephanie Bofinger.

Fempro Armour is designed to protect and empower women in contact sports, helping athletes to play with confidence while reducing the risk of injury.
