Dalby Regional Saleyards last week hosted one of its largest yardings this decade.
Agents yarded a total 9190 head of cattle last Wednesday, the largest number so far in 2025.
Cr Megan James, from the Western Downs Regional Council, said the strong end-of-year sales figures reflected the region’s pivotal role in driving the industry forward.
“The Dalby Regional Saleyards stands among the nation’s premier cattle market facilities and attracts a significant number of local producers and buyers.
“Closing out the year with such strong sales figures is a true testament to the dedication and professionalism of the entire Dalby Regional Saleyards team.”
She said the saleyards were expecting another record yarding on Wednesday (December 3).
