Ironpot Hall Association will undergo a series of upgrades, thanks to the latest round of Wambo Wind Farm Community Benefit Fund grants.
The hall association will use the funding to build an accessible ramp and upgrade facilities to improve the safety and inclusivity for all community members.
Ironpot Hall was one of eight community groups to benefit from the $90,000 round of funding.
Other successful applicants were:
- Wambo Cares Inc will strengthen social support for seniors through their Connected Lives project, hosting regular social gatherings to bring elderly community members together
- Jandowae and District Show Society will buy multi-purpose yards to improve the functionality and safety of the facility, enhance visibility for spectators and reduce future hire costs
- Jimbour and District Sport and Recreation Club will install air conditioning and upgrade the electrical systems at the Jimbour Community Hall
- Jandowae Pony Club will buy a commercial canteen fridge to improve functionality, efficiency and service within the Jandowae Showgrounds kitchen
- Jingi Valley QCWA will install a water tank
- Jandowae Showgrounds Management Committee will install flood lighting and connect power, enabling safer and more efficient use of the facility at night
- Jandowae and District Progress and Heritage Association will prepare a display to showcase and preserve the history of Jandowae and its surrounding districts
