Nanango Race Club has used its sponsorship by online betting company Sportsbet to improve facilities at the Lee Park Racetrack.
Club president Wayne Hancock said new televisions had been purchased, security had been increased and new cables installed to improve Internet access.
He said the club was also in the process of getting quotes to buy marquees and more tables and chairs, which it had been borrowing from other clubs.
“The sponsorship was very generous and we are very grateful that a major bookie can go out of its way to lend support to the smaller regional race clubs,” Mr Hancock said.
“None of this would have been possible without that sponsorship.”
