Station staff and volunteers joined local residents on Saturday on the footpath outside the CROW-FM studios to mark the 30th birthday of the Wondai community radio station.

There were plenty of giveaways plus live entertainment, courtesy of local musicians including Jarrod Edwards and Chris Wenner.

Wondai Lions Club members looked after the sausage sizzle while station staff took visitors on tours of the studios.

Station chair Ros Heit said it had been great to see the support from the local community.

“We had a wonderful time and signed up 21 new members,” she said.

As a community radio station, CROW-FM relies on sponsorship and the support of its members.
