Australian Solar Enterprises – the corporation behind the Tumuruu solar farm project near Blackbutt – has alerted local residents that some “vegetation management” will begin next week on the site.
However, a spokesperson said the work was being undertaken by Stanwell in relation to a water pipeline easement that runs through the site.
“This will be undertaken with vegetation mulchers and weed spray throughout the easement that runs east to west across the project to Tarong,” the spokesperson said.
“Currently this work is scheduled to commence from next week and will take approximately one to two weeks of activity.
“This work is not associated with the actual project and is part of the ongoing requirements of the easement.”
