FLASHBACK: The late Ros Gregor at the opening of the Nature Walk in 2015

October 9, 2025

A $20,000 upgrade will begin later this month on the Ros Gregor Nature Walk at Nanango to prevent flooding cutting the path.

A South Burnett Regional Council spokesperson said a section of concrete would be removed and replaced with pipework and new concrete at a higher level.

“I am so pleased that these works will help to make the track a lot safer during rain,” Cr Jane Erkens said.

The walkway will remain open during the works but there may be detours in place around the construction site.

The works, which are being funded by the State Government’s Works For Queensland program, are expected to take two weeks to complete.

  1. What about the water that runs though people’s yards washing their foundations away? Fixing their drive ways would be a good start.
