After dominating all season, the Nanango Panthers were knocked out of the 2025 South Burnett Women’s Soccer competition with a shock semi-final loss last Friday night at Wondai.

Playing on their home ground, the Barambah Bears downed Nanango 1-0 to earn a chance at gaining back-to-back championships.

The second berth in the Grand Final was always going to feature a Kingaroy team, with Kingaroy Wests Women taking on Kingaroy Easts Women in the semi-final.

Wests came out on top 1-0.

The Grand Final in the Women’s Competition between Barambah and Kingaroy Wests will be played from 6:15pm on Friday night (September 5) at Tom Alford Oval in Kingaroy.

Round 1 of the finals will be played this Saturday in the South Burnett Junior competition at the Kingaroy Junior Soccer Fields:

  • 8:30am – Under 12/13s – Nanango Panthers Blue v Barambah Connollys State Waste Bears (winner to the Grand Final)
  • 10:00am – Under 12/13s – Nanango Panthers White v Kingaroy McDonalds (winner to the Grand Final)
  • 11:30am – Cadets – Barambah Raffin Electrical Bears v Kingaroy Refrigeration (winner to the Grand Final)
  • 12:01pm – Cadets – Kingaroy CTC Mechanical v loser of the previous game (winner to the Grand Final)

The Grand Finals in both U12/13s and Cadets will be played on September 13 at Kingaroy.
