South Burnett Saints women will be taking on the Goondiwindi Hawks on Saturday in the sudden-death Preliminary Final of the Darling Downs Women’s AFL competition.
Saints finished in second spot on the ladder at the end of the regular season, but were defeated in the Major Semi-Final last Saturday.
Minor Premiers Toowoomba Tigers were strong, with the final score 9.9-63 to 1.3-9.
Elizabeth Porter kicked the Saints’ goal.
The winner of the Saturday’s game, which will be played at Rockville Oval in Toowoomba, will face the Tigers in the Grand Final on September 6.
The South Burnett Saints’ Presentation Night will be held at Kingaroy Town Hall on Friday, October 10.
