SES volunteers and invited guests gathered at the Nanango SES Shed last week to acknowledge support from the Energising Queensland SES Equipment Program.
The program is a partnership between the SES, Energy Queensland (Ergon, Energex and Yurika) and Powerlink Queensland.
It provides SES Groups with highly valued equipment, improving the capacity of the volunteers to respond to emergencies.
The North Coast Region – which includes the South Burnett – will receive more than $64,000 worth of equipment, divided between 45 SES groups and units.
More than $1.5 million worth of equipment has been delivered through the partnership over the past 10 years.
Donations on display in Nanango included a “rescue man” dummy used in flood rescue training, power tools, stretchers and a car fridge.
