The weather wasn’t the greatest but volunteers were still happy with the crowd that turned up for last Saturday’s Open Day at the Wondai Heritage Museum.

Volunteer Kerry Lloyd said about 160 people had passed through doors, with a good roll-up early in the morning.

The Council-run facility is staffed by volunteers who were eager to show visitors their extensive collection of Wondai-related historic items and memorabilia.

The museum also includes a unique display of items from the original Wondai Hospital operating theatre.

Visitors on the Open Day could also browse market stalls, enjoy a sausage sizzle or visit the coffee van.

Members of the South Burnett Antique Motor Club also brought along a display of vehicles which were parked along Mackenzie Street for easy inspection.

Debbie, Alan and Rebecca Kahler took the opportunity to take a look around the Wondai Heritage Museum
