South Burnett Regional Council will receive $9600 from the Federal Government’s Stronger Communities Program to replace street trees in Wondai.
The grant is part of $130,000 in funding allocated to the Flynn electorate.
Other groups to receive support include projects in Gladstone, Mt Larcom, Calliope, Gayndah and Moore Park.
Member for Flynn Colin Boyce said it had been a pleasure to work with community organisations through the project assessment process which involved working with an independent local panel.
“These grassroots initiatives will deliver practical improvements, ranging from facility upgrades and equipment purchases to community infrastructure enhancements that significantly benefit our local residents,” he said.
